The Type-14 diaphragm valve is available with an optional pneumatic actuator for operation via a pressurized air supply. The pneumatic actuator is available in both air to air (double acting) and air to spring (single acting) styles. The actuator replaces the valve bonnet and is an integral part of the valve. The actuator is operated with a Nitrile diaphragm which is connected directly to the valve diaphragm for quick response times. The NAMUR mounting pattern on the top of the actuator gives the option for mounting limit switches, positioners and/or a solenoid for automation. The housing is made from glass filled polypropylene for high strength and chemical resistance. A visual position indicator at the top of the actuator allows the user to confirm the valve position.

- Rugged solid thermoplastic construction for maximum corrosion resistance
- Uniquely designed body and bonnet together with diaphragms of new sealing designs by the state of the art computer aided analysis for superior sealing
- Weir design for excellent throttling characteristics
- NAMUR pad mount for easy installation of solenoid valves
- Full vacuum rating
- Bubble tight sealing, even in applications such as slurries or high suspended solids count
- Bonnet seals to protect internals from corrosive environments
- Adjustable travel stop to prevent diaphragm from being over-tightened
- Bayonet structure to connect compressor and diaphragm for quick maintenance
- Integrally molded bottom stand for simple yet firm panel mounting
- Indicator at the top for valve position
- PTFE diaphragms have a three layer design with a PVDF gas barrier separating the EPDM backing cushion. This prevents corrosive gases that permeate the semi-permeous PTFE material from attacking the EPDM backing cushion
